ممثلة في هيئة حماية البيئة الأمريكية، علي وضع دراسات مشتركة لتسجيل المبيدات الحيوية المستخدمة في مكافحة الآفات علي محاصيل الخضر والفاكهة بين دول حوض النيل، طبقاً للمعايير العالمية لاستخدام وتداول المبيدات. Represented in the United States Environmental Protection Authority, to develop joint studies for the registration of pesticides used in vital pest control on vegetables and fruit among Nile basin countries, in accordance with world standards for the use and handling pesticides.
وقال الدكتور صلاح سليمان، نائب رئيس لجنة المبيدات التابعة لوزارة الزراعة لـ?المصري اليوم?، إنه تم الاتفاق أيضاً علي وضع ضوابط مشتركة وموحدة لاستخدام المبيدات داخل دول حوض النيل، بما يهدف إلي الحفاظ علي نوعية المياه في نهر النيل وضمان جودة المنتج الزراعي بما ينعكس بالإيجاب علي صحة الإنسان.
