Re: Confirmed H5N1 Human Cases For 2009

As of December 16, 2008 WHO reported a total of 23 cumulative deaths in Egypt.

http://www.who.int/csr/don/2008_12_16/en/index.html

In 2009 there have been 4 fatalities officially attributed to H5N1 in Egypt as of the last WHO update for avian influenza in Egypt on November 27, 2009 bringing the cumulative total to 27.

http://www.who.int/csr/don/2009_11_27/en/index.html

The four H5N1 cases confirmed by WHO in Egypt to date for 2009 (and later died) are listed below. Three of the four deaths (63-65) are reported by WHO at: http://www.who.int/csr/don/2009_05_15a/en/index.html

The WHO report does not give dates of death for these three individuals but the dates of death can be found at SAIDR at: http://www.saidr.org/en/humans.php

Th fourth death (Number 72) is reported at the link below.

Re: Confirmed H5N1 Human Cases For 2009

Thanks Al. The deaths in Florida1's list did not even register with the excerpt I added to the end of my list. I will remove that now.
