The Ministry of Health has been a substantial increase of dengue cases in the past two months, so that the institution has scheduled the third day today against Dengue, aiming to eradicate mosquito breeding sites.
According to epidemiological data, six departments were identified as those most affected by dengue and larval indices. The list is led by Santa Ana (Metap?n being the most affected), Chalatenango, La Libertad, Cuscatlan, La Paz and Moraz?n.
The Deputy Minister of Health, Violeta Menjivar, said that in those departments should intensify efforts during the day.
In recent days, the positivity rate (hatchery) is 70% of the places visited and nationwide the rate is 14% larvae, he said.
The country is at yellow alert since last February and the rise in cases, Health recognizes that it must be more careful treatment of the epidemic.

Second death from H1N1
Health confirmed the second death from H1N1 in 2010. The death occurred last July 8 and corresponds to a man of 23 years, originally from Metap?n, Santa Ana, a city that has increased in large proportions affected.
He died in hospital in the department and had health complications because they had an underlying disease, suffered from a congenital malformation of the heart.
The first fatality was a child of 11 months and recorded in the Benjamin Bloom Hospital.
