AURORA, Colo. -- Several units at Children's Hospital are not accepting new patients because of a gastrointestinal virus spreading in the adolescent treatment center.
...
Sources told 7NEWS the virus is making some adolescent patients "violently ill." One parent e-mailed 7NEWS to say the unit has been closed since last Tuesday, Oct. 4.
Children's said in a Monday statement, "Measures have been put in place to stop the spread of the illness."
Initially, the hospital refused to comment on how many people were sick, when the outbreak started or how the hospital was preventing the spread of the virus.
In a statement Tuesday afternoon, the hospital said, some units in the pavilion were temporarily not accepting new patients due to cases of Norovirus.
