An Argentine laboratory announced the birth of the first cloned cow with two human genes to produce a milk equivalent to breastmilk.

"The goal is to improve the nutritional value of cow's milk by adding two human genes, the proteins lactoferrin and lysozyme," said another researcher, Adrian Mutt, National University of San Martin.

The calf was born on April 6 and within 10 months the researchers will be able to confirm that the proteins are present in the milk of Rosita, performing a simulation of pregnancy.
