Abstract
The coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 pandemic has resulted in significant morbidity and mortality worldwide. The emergency use authorisation of COVID-19 vaccinations in December 2020 has led to renewed optimism of reducing the prevalence and burden on healthcare systems. Three vaccinations have now been granted temporary authorisation in the United Kingdom: BNT162b2, ChAdOx1 and mRNA-1273.
