  In order to further improve the hospital’s emergency response capabilities for public health emergencies, promptly and effectively respond to and deal with possible new crown pneumonia epidemics, effectively strengthen the awareness of prevention and control of all staff, and enhance prevention and control capabilities, on the afternoon of December 13, Caoxian County Hospital carried out Emergency response drill for patients with new coronary pneumonia. The drill was presided over by the vice president Zhang Chuanjiang, and related departments such as the Medical Affairs Department, the Hospital Sensation Office, the Public Health Department, the Nursing Department, the Outpatient Department, and the Information Department participated in the drill.


  This exercise simulated a male patient with abdominal pain, diarrhea, and general fatigue, who went to the hospital on his own. The patient complained that he had no history of living in a high-risk area. The doctor on duty advised the patient to observe in the emergency department and perform routine throat swab sampling. The nucleic acid testing laboratory found that the observation patient had a positive nucleic acid test, and the relevant departments of the hospital quickly launched an emergency plan. Field exercises include quarantine observation, epidemic reporting, expert consultations, investigations, environmental management and control, referrals to the county's new crown pneumonia epidemic prevention and control headquarters, designated hospitals to send negative pressure ambulances to transfer patients to designated hospitals, as well as disinfection, medical waste disposal, etc. A detailed and specific exercise was conducted during the session.

  After the exercise, Zhang Chuanjiang commented on the exercise and affirmed the work of the personnel participating in the exercise.

  Through this emergency drill, the hospital medical staff's emergency response capabilities for patients with new coronary pneumonia have been improved, the collaboration between departments has been strengthened, and the medical staff's ability to diagnose and treat patients with new coronary pneumonia, reporting procedures and proficiency in the use of personal protective equipment has been improved degree.
