數十萬隻蝗蟲爬滿東莞清溪鎮羅馬村新長山附近的荔枝林，1片2指寬的樹葉上，竟然可以發現5、60隻蝗蟲，最密集處甚至每立方公尺有超過萬隻蝗蟲棲息；由於荔枝已經進入成熟期，當地農民人心惶惶，深怕蝗蟲把辛苦1年的收成都吃掉。
