  On June 30, the boy underwent a lumbar puncture for cerebrospinal fluid examination at a hospital in Shanghai, and was diagnosed with baboon amoeba .
  According to media reports, the child's mother said that the child is still in the hospital and is now in good consciousness, but he is a little unsteady when walking and can't walk properly. "Currently, he is using medication, but the doctor has always said that we should cross the river by feeling the stones."
  On July 2, the child's mother posted again on social media, saying that Dr. Zhang Wenhong , director of the National Center for Infectious Diseases (Shanghai), and experts from the infectious disease department would hold a consultation .
