China Lifts Bans on Poultry Imports from 2 U.S. States

China lifted bans on poultry and poultry product imports from two U.S. states, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement published on its website on December 13, 2010, about two years after bird flu was found in one of the states.

Import bans affecting the products from Idaho and Kentucky were lifted

China had banned poultry and poultry product imports from the two states in late 2008 and early 2009, respectively, after bird flu outbreaks there.
