Chengguan District Maternal and Child Health Hospital holds emergency drill for sudden cardiac arrest in outpatients

The drill was directed by Vice President Ren Wei, led by the Nursing Department, and participated by multiple departments including the Children's Physical Examination Room, ECG Room, Medical Department, and Logistics Department Emergency Office. The drill simulated a situation where an elderly man suddenly fell to the ground. The nurse at the reception desk quickly determined that the environment was safe and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, called doctors and other nursing staff to participate in the treatment, and dialed 120 at the same time. The doctors and nurses on duty quickly arrived at the scene, clarified the division of labor, and worked closely together. Finally, the patient was successfully resuscitated and transferred to a higher-level hospital by 120.

The drill was successfully completed. The first aid personnel made accurate judgments, performed fluently, and were skilled. The medical staff worked closely together, which reflected the overall treatment level of the team. This emergency drill has improved the emergency treatment, organizational and teamwork capabilities of outpatient medical staff, laying a solid foundation for responding to emergencies and protecting the lives of patients.
