According to the Bayannur Municipal Health Commission, on June 10, 2026, the Bayannur Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention conducted a full-chain emergency drill to assess the anthrax outbreak response capabilities of the Linhe District Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The drill was conducted without prior notice, a pre-set script, a fixed venue, or the use of simulated actors. The aim of the drill was to comprehensively improve the emergency response capabilities for emerging infectious diseases and to test the practicality of the emergency plan.
The drill was based on the scenario of a resident of Linhe District being diagnosed with cutaneous anthrax at a hospital in another city (884301) . After the drill signal was issued, the Linhe District Center for Disease Control and Prevention immediately activated the emergency response, and the emergency response team quickly assembled and carried out its work in strict accordance with the procedures outlined in the "Linhe District Center for Disease Control and Prevention Anthrax Epidemic Emergency Plan".
In key aspects such as rapid emergency response, emergency material allocation, epidemiological investigation and tracing, exposure screening and control, epidemic information reporting, on-site specimen collection, laboratory testing, comprehensive disinfection and sterilization, and risk assessment, the emergency response team members reacted quickly, handled matters in a standardized manner, and cooperated in an orderly manner, successfully completing the exercise and achieving the expected objectives.
This unscripted live-fire exercise comprehensively tested Linhe District's full-process practical capabilities in emergency response, coordination, on-site epidemiological investigation, disinfection, and logistical support during infectious disease outbreaks. Moving forward, the Linhe District Center for Disease Control and Prevention will use this experience as an opportunity to summarize and review the exercise, identify shortcomings, address weaknesses, optimize processes, and strengthen training to further enhance the team's emergency response capabilities and solidify the public health security defense line.
