29 infected with tuberculosis in E China school

( Xinhua)HEFEI - A total of 29 people have been infected with tuberculosis (TB) at a middle school in Anhui province since the middle of May, local authorities said Tuesday.
A Grade 10 student from Jingxian No.2 Middle School was confirmed infected with TB on May 14. Twenty-six students and three teachers have since been found infected with TB after medical checkups of the 374 people in close contact with the first patient, according to the provincial health department on Tuesday.
Among them, four are receiving treatment in hospital and the others are taking medicine at home and school.
Anti-tuberculosis medicines have been distributed to all the students and teachers of the school.
