The Ministry of Health announced the suspension of at least five laboratories that processed PCR tests to detect COVID-19 for delivering false negatives and false positives in a large percentage.
It was the Health Minister, Jaime Ma?alich , who confirmed the information, pointing out that up to 30% of inconsistencies were detected during a control.

At the indicated laboratories, at least 500 samples were inspected, of which a significant percentage gave false positives, that is, patients who were confirmed with COVID-19 despite not being sick, and false negatives, patients who were told that they were not they had the virus when in fact they had contracted it.
Given this, it was decided to carry out a more exhaustive control, determining that these laboratories do not process any more tests of this type until what happened is clarified.
