Chikungunya? plus other viruses
Health authorities are faced with a new problem. After the chikungunya ? which is far from having disappeared ? a new virus has reached our coasts. But? they can?t say what it is exactly. The virus seems to have the same symptoms as the chikungunya ? high temperature, stiffness and joint pains except that the virus goes away more rapidly. More than 20,000 people have been affected by this new virus. Samples have been sent to Reunion for more tests to try and identify it.
