The Silver Creek school community is mourning the loss of a student today.

An announcement regarding the death was posted to the school district's website Thursday. There are no other details about the student, or whether the death was H1N1 related.

Public Health Director Christine Schuyler tells 2 On Your Side she is not aware of any H1N1 related death to any Chautauqua County resident at this time.
