Bosnia and Herzegovina: COVID-19 - 22834 cases, 686 deaths

According to the review of the epidemiological situation, which is submitted to the media by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 6,981 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in BiH so far, and 111,536 people have been tested.

A total of 226 patients died, while the number of recovered was 3,179. Out of that, 3,204 cases were confirmed in Republika Srpska entity, 41,891 were tested, 139 people died and 1,663 patients recovered.

Bosnia has seen another 244 infections with the novel coronavirus in its two semi-autonomous regions, 158 in the Federation (FBiH) and 86 in Republika Srpska (RS), the healthcare authorities said on Saturday. Two Covid-19 deaths were reported in the FBiH in the last 24 hours, bringing the country's death toll to 246.

According to official data provided by the regional healthcare authorities, the country's coronavirus total now stands at 8,161.

Number of Infected with Coronavirus in Bosnia and Herzegovina is 5.5. Higher than in the EU

According to the calculation, in BiH in the 14-day period, from July 23 to August 5, per 100,000 inhabitants (if we take into account the official number of BiH citizens according to the 2013 census, which is 3,531,159) the average daily, the number of infected is 111, which is far more than the EU criteria.

Total of 14,708 Cases of Coronavirus Infection have been confirmed in Bosnia and Herzegovina so far
A total of 447 patients died, while the number of recovered was 8,411.

Out of that, there are 5,694 confirmed cases in Republika Srpska entity, 55,356 tested, 204 people died, and 3,243 patients recovered.

In the Federation of BiH entity, the infection was confirmed in 8,770 people out of 96,839 tested, the number of deaths was 228, while 5,090 patients recovered.

The data for the Brcko District of BiH are as follows: 244 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection, 2,281 tested, 15 deceased and 78 recovered patients.
