BHB: Norovirus Likely Cause Of Outbreak

The Bermuda Hospital Board confirmed today [Mar 1] that there have been no new patient cases of gastroenteritis on Gordon Ward reported in the last 24 hours, and that no cases have been reported outside of Gordon Ward.
?Clinical investigations have identified Norovirus as the likely cause of the outbreak, with further viral culture testing underway,? a spokesperson from the BHB said.

BHB said a total of 16 patients have been impacted to date, 12 of whom are no longer symptomatic; while a total of 17 employees have been impacted, 15 of whom are no longer symptomatic...
