The city of Bellaire has suspended its day camp program after a staff member was confirmed to have a case of swine flu and a camper was diagnosed with the Type A flu virus, city officials announced today.
As a precautionary measure, the Bellaire Parks and Recreation Department will discontinue Camp Paseo activities until July 27. All of Bellaire's other parks and recreation programs will continue as scheduled.
Any Camp Paseo participant or staff member who begins to exhibit flu symptoms must stay home until those ailments have subsided and will be required to show a doctor's release when returning to camp or work, city officials said.
