DESCRIPTION
VAXIGRIP? [Inactivated Influenza Vaccine Trivalent Types A and B (Split Virion)] for intramuscular use, is a sterile suspension containing 3 strains of influenza virus cultivated on embryonated eggs, concentrated, purified by zonal centrifugation in a sucrose gradient, split by Triton? X-100, inactivated by formaldehyde and then diluted in phosphate buffered saline solution.
The type and amount of viral antigens contained in VAXIGRIP? conform to the current requirements of the World Health Organization (WHO). (1) The strains for the 2010-2011 season are: A/California/7/2009 (H1N1) ? like strain, A/Perth/16/2009 (H3N2) ? like strain and B/Brisbane/60/2008.
