The Mekong Delta province?s Animal Health Department Manager Lam Tri Thong said everything had returned to normal Saturday. The epidemic had been located mainly in Vinh Phu Dong Commune, Phuoc Long District.
However, the province authorities have asked local agencies and governments to keep a close watch on all farms and continue vaccinating all flocks of ducks and other fowl in the area.
More than 16,000 birds were put to death over the last month, according to the department.
