Hep-A warning issued for Western Family frozen fruit

Health officials are urging anyone who consumed a specific frozen-fruit product sold only by Save-On Foods, Price Smart and other Overwaitea stores in the past 14 days to get a hepatitis A vaccine.
Fraser Health is offering a free Hep A vaccine for those who consumed the Pomeberry Blend frozen fruit made by Western Family if they have not previously received two doses of the vaccine or had Hep A in the past.
For those who consumed the product more than 14 days ago, the vaccine is ineffective.
No other products, even those with pomegranate or berries, including juices, are affected...
