Deadly soil disease claims two lives in NT

Two people have died in the NT after being infected with melioidosis this wet season. (ABC TV)
Map: Darwin 0800 Early rains have prompted warnings from the Northern Territory's Centre for Disease Control over the potentially deadly disease melioidosis.
Last wet season there were a record 91 cases of melioidosis and 11 deaths, with the majority of infections in Darwin.
There have already been 15 cases so far this wet season and two deaths.
