28th case of salmonella poisoning in aged care facility detected

Another nursing home patient from the Illawarra has fallen ill with salmonella poisoning.

Despite an ongoing investigation by NSW Health the cause of the outbreak is still unknown.

Two people have died since the outbreak first surfaced on Janary 21 this year.

The most recent case brings the total number of people to have fallen ill to 28 across at least 10 aged care centres...
