Pregnant woman dies of AH1N1 in Armenia, toll rises to 2
Armenia has confirmed 2 A/H1N1 death cases, one of them being a pregnant woman in her 6th month, the other one a 28-year youth.
According to the chief infectiologist Ara Asoyan, the latter was a Yerevan resident, he died in Nork infection clinic, while the former, as the deputy director of the Medical Center in the city of Hrazdan Sasun Hovhannisyan said, was a Hrazdan resident and died after she was taken to Erebouni medical center.
Healthcare Minister?s Assistant Shushan Hunanyan told Panorama.am swine flu total number in Armenia has hit 80. Though, she stated the number of respiratory diseases have decreased in the republic.

2 Death Cases of A/H1N1 Flu Virus in Armenia

There have been 80 confirmed cases of the A/H1N1 flu virus in the Republic of Armenia, 2 of which have been fatal, reports the RA Ministry of Healthcare website.
The first recorded death case was a woman who was 16 weeks pregnant and was moved from Hrazdan to Erebuni medical centre, where she subsequently passed away. As confirmed by RA Ministry of Healthcare assistant Shushan Hunanyan, the second fatal case was a male patient.
It is important to note that there is strict monitoring of respiratory illnesses in the republic. The outcome of recent investigations revealed that there has been a decrease of 300?500 cases daily in the past 3 days of people being diagnosed with respiratory illnesses.
