YEREVAN. – As of 11am on Friday, 239 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in Armenia, and the total number of these cases has reached 46,910 in the country, according to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Also, one more death from COVID-19 was registered, making the respective total 926 cases.

As of September 15, 2020, there were 4,520,151 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) across the whole of Europe since the first confirmed case on January 25. Armenia has the highest incidence of coronavirus cases among its population in Europe at 1,554.2 per 100,000 people, followed by a rate of 1,264.95 in Spain. Luxembourg has recorded the third highest rate of cases in Europe at over 1,180 cases per 100,000. With over one million confirmed cases, Russia has been the worst affected country in Europe, which translates into a rate of 732 cases per 100,000 population.
