A series of seven earthquakes occurred this morning in the provinces of San Juan, Tucuman and Santiago del Estero, in the latter, six magnitude on the Richter scale, with no recorded injuries, reported the National Institute of Seismic Prevention (Inpres).
The earthquake of greatest magnitude in Santiago del Estero, took place at 4.46 at a depth of 583 kilometers, about 47 kilometers northwest of the city of A?atuya.
In Tucuman, there was an earthquake of 2.6 magnitude on the Richter scale at 3.57, in the west of the province, 41 kilometers deep.
The province of San Juan, meanwhile, was the epicenter of five earthquakes, "all unique events."
"None was a replica, but events themselves," they said from the agency with headquarters in the capital of that district.
Events in the Cuyo province took place at 0.28, 1.03, 2.42, 4.42 and 6.15, with a magnitude of 2.1, 2.6, 2.4., 2.5 and 2.8 on the Richter scale.
