The State Department of Health informed on Tuesday afternoon (19) that a death by the virus H1N1 has been registered in this year, in the city of Araruama, in the Lakes Region of the River. The secretariat does not informed when this death happened and much less gave details about the case, such as the name and age of the victim. The Superintendence of Epidemiological Surveillance and Environmental, the State Department of Health, stated that, this year, were recorded five cases of the disease in the state. In 2013, from 1st January to 31 July, were recorded 42 cases, with 9 deaths. Despite the numbers, the secretary said that the protocols of care continue normally as other cases of influenza. He said that there is no reason to flaunt the population.
'The records of cases of H1N1 are not more or less serious than the other cases of the Influenza virus. The evolution of the flu is more related to the individual characteristics of the patients in which the virus', explained the superintendent of Epidemiological Surveillance and Environmental Department of Health, Alexandre Chieppe.
