Another death in San Diego County has been linked to the swine flu pandemic, bringing the total number of fatal cases locally to 13, county health officials reported today.

The 72-year-old woman whose death was associated with the H1N1 influenza virus had underlying medical conditions, according to the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency.

So far, there have been 809 confirmed cases of swine flu in San Diego County, according to the HHSA. County health officials again encouraged people to stay home from work or school if they have influenza-like symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.
