The Florida Department of Health had no comment Friday on reports that the third person to die of swine flu in Palm Beach County was a caseworker at the Department of Children and Families office in Bell Glade.

Acting Health Department Director Dr. Alina Alonso addressed local DCF supervisors in a conference call on Friday after they raised concerns about DCF employees being at greater risk of illness given their contact with children and members of the public, said health department spokesman Tim O'Connor.

The health department is prohibited from releasing identifiable health information, O'Connor said, and is considering stopping its swine flu death announcements completely.
