The Health Ministry officials announced Tierra del Fuego-conducting during the 15th and 16th of March a workshop to review the outbreak of Influenza A (H1N1) pandemic in Tierra del Fuego, and the re development of the Contingency Plan 2010.
(15/03/2010) USHUAIA .- The authorities of the Ministry of Health announced the Tierra del Fuego-realization during the 15th and 16th of March a workshop to review the outbreak of Influenza A (H1N1) pandemic in Tierra del Fire, and the re development of the Contingency Plan for 2010.
The initiative will take place in the Auditorium / Library Ushuaia Regional Hospital, and generally aims to analyze "a participatory manner the outbreak of influenza A H1N1 pandemic of Tierra del Fuego 2009, and revise the provincial contingency plan for 2010" indicated .
The specific objectives of the workshop were the review planned actions developed during the outbreak of influenza A H1N1, implemented by the provincial contingency plan 2009, to review the clinical profile of patients who died from respiratory causes during the outbreak of influenza A H1N1, to develop a provincial technical paper, taking into account the national contingency plan and contingency plans developed by PAHO / WHO as a basis for revising and updating the provincial contingency plan and develop the proposed agenda and monitoring implementation of the contingency plan developed ,.
According to reports from the health portfolio, the workshop will have the support of local professionals and the nation, like Dr. Jorge San Juan, infectious diseases physician, head of Intensive Care Hospital Infectious "F. Mu?iz" and coordinator of the committee INFECTIOUS DISEASES epidemiological emergencies the Ministry of Health of Buenos Aires.
Also among the guests Dr. Oreste Carlino, Medical pulmonologist, coordinator of the respiratory disease, and head of the contingency situation room of the Ministry of Health of the Nation during the outbreak of influenza A H1N1 2009.
