Number of reported cases of contamination of the H1N1 virus remains
Luanda - The coordinator of the national interministerial commission for the prevention of influenza A, Jos? Vieira Dias Van-D?nem, announced recently in Luanda that the number of transmission of H1N1 virus in Angola, is maintained in 37 reported cases.
"The epidemiological pattern of influenza A in the country remains to the present time, in 37 cases, of which 33 in Luanda and four in the provinces of Bengo and Huila, respectively," he said.
Jos? Van-D?nem said were reinforced preventive measures in the four capitals of the provinces, which host the African Nations Championship Orange - Angola 2010 due to the increased movement of people registered in these regions.
He reported that from 19 to 26 January 2010, the picture of the epidemic in the country is maintained, due to increased health infrastructure and access to drinking water.
"Since reaching a final peace, the Angolan government has embarked on national reconstruction, with priority health areas for which we have a strong society and peace in these years the country increased the number of infrastructure", said
The Health Minister also noted that the epidemic continues to cause fatalities worldwide, taking into accounting the aggressive tendency of pollution of the H1N1 virus.
