"ASM opens publications on enterohemorrhagic E. coli
Good news today from the American Society for Microbiology:
Because of the recent public health emergency and worldwide concern about the devastating E. coli outbreak in Europe, the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) has made all articles on enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli published in the ASM’s 9 subscription research journals available free of charge online. These articles may be accessed through the ASM Journals webpage at http://journals.asm.org.
The Editors in Chief of these journals and the Chair of the ASM Publications Board took this action in support of ASM’s mission of disseminating important microbiology research. The ASM hopes that making this material readily available will assist researchers and others seeking information in dealing with the current outbreak. Under normal circumstances, ASM journal articles are made freely available 6 months after publication for research journals and 12 months after publication for the review journals."
