an epidemic focus of “highly pathogenic” avian influenza (h5n8) was detected in oum el bouaghi, in eastern parisia.
the alert was given on tuesday by the world organization for animal health (oie). according to the information in our possession, this epidemic focus was detected on january 17 in a poultry farm in the commune of ain fakroun.
