Redstone Village residents dealing with norovirus

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- Four residents at Redstone Village have been hospitalized recently as the norovirus has swept across the retirement community in south Huntsville.

Dr. Debra Williams of the Madison County Health Department said all the residents who were hospitalized have returned home. The residents were hospitalized with cases of dehydration, Williams said.

Muscle Shoals City Schools Closing Early Due To Norovirus Outbreak

MUSCLE SHOALS, AL?
Muscle Shoals City Schools are closing at 1:30 p.m. They will remain closed tomorrow, too. The school system is dealing with an outbreak of Norovirus.

At McBride Elementary, 286 students were absent on Thursday. The Superintendent said that appears to be the largest outbreak in the school system, and they decided to close until Monday to try to prevent it from spreading to other schools.
