HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Doctors around the South are warning parents about a highly contagious virus that is hitting children especially hard this summer.

Hand, foot and mouth disease cases are on the rise.

Doctors at Huntsville Pediatric Associates said although it's a year-round disease, they've noticed a spike in the past few weeks...
