Suspend work agenda dengue Cape Verdean Prime Minister

November 14, 2009, 08:56 Praia, Nov 14 (Prensa Latina) Prime Minister Jose Maria Neves is one of the 14 thousand infected with dengue in Cape Verde, so he was forced to suspend its work agenda, reported today official sources.
The Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Janira Almada, said the health status is stable Neves evolve positively to treatment.
Almada, who confirmed that to date six deaths were reported in Cape Verde by dengue, said that Neves will return to its normal work next week, according to medical advice.

According to Cape Verdean Red Cross, the reproduction of the female anopheles mosquito, the transmitter of dengue, multiplied in the African archipelago as a result of heavy rains in recent days.
To exterminate the insect colonies, officials with the population organizing cleanup campaigns in neighborhoods and streets.
Residents in communities that destroy tires and containers could be larval hosts transmitter agent.
