Eight children died at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases in Skopje from pandemic influenza type A (H1N1), and had previously suffered from cerebral palsy.
As communicated by the Ministry of Health, the child was treated a few days at home with treatment from a GP, followed by continued treatment at the Pediatric Clinic, and upon received laboratory confirmation of flu, the 28th January was transferred for treatment at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases in Skopje.
There was initially put on oxygen support, and pottoa the respirator, but despite efforts by doctors and given therapy, the child died yesterday.
According to a report from MOH, the Clinic for Infectious diseases in the past day and night outpatients were examined 14 patients with symptoms of flu, and six were hospitalized at the moment and there are hospital treated 48 people with confirmed or suspected influenza.
