A cheap and effective treatment

In the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association Volume 105 Number 11 November 2005, a discussion of the lymphatic pump method and other osteopathic therapeutics were utilized during several epidemics which radically lowered the number of fatalities. It is a simple technique which can be taught to the families of those affected, and must be applied in the first 24 hours to be effective. Osteopaths for those of you who do not know are DOs not MDs. Despite this, they are trained medical doctors, and can be in any specialty. Osteopaths use a kind of massage in their tool kit as well as the typical pharmacological interventions, prevention, nutrition, exercise, etc.

In the event of a bird flu, this technique should be taught to see if there is any difference in mortality rates. It may prove to be an effective technique and costs nothing to try.
