CONTAGIOUS DISEASES DISCUSSED

An international scientific conference titled "Pressing issues of zoonosis contagious diseases" was organized Friday by the National Center for Natural Focal Contagious Diseases.
Dr. A.M.Shestopalov of Russia's "Vector" scientific center announced in his report that the bird flu H5N1 virus has been revealed from migratory birds passing summer on lakes of western region of Mongolia.
Doctor G.A.Danchinova of Russian Irkutsk city's Scientific Institute of Infectious Research has revealed that a tick infection is possible to spread near Mongolia-Russia border.
A Chinese researcher Wang Jin said that there are marmot plague hotbeds in Chinese Erlian city bordering with Mongolia as well as southern region of Mongolia.
At the conference, the Mongolian scholars and researchers introduced their research into movement of migratory birds, marmot and other rodents and anthrax infection to animals and human.
About 15 reports were discussed at the meeting which was attended by scientists from over 10 countries.
