59-year-old Northeast man is latest in county to die from swine flu

EL PASO -- A 59-year-old Northeast El Paso man has become the fourth in the county to die from swine flu, health department officials said Tuesday.
No further details about the victim were disclosed, including his date of death. However, officials said the man was hospitalized for treatment of an influenza-like illness. They also said he had an underlying health condition, but did not provide further details.
So far this year El Paso has had 244 confirmed cases of the novel H1N1 influenza virus. Most did not require hospitalization.
Health officials continue to urge people to practice good hygiene to prevent the transmission of the virus.
