4th swine-flu related death in Rochester area

Associated Press - December 10, 2009 11:35 AM ET
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Health officials say a fourth adult in the Rochester area has died from causes related to swine flu.

The Monroe County health department says Thursday the death was about two weeks ago and the victim had no known underlying medical problem.

The county reported its first H1N1-linked death in mid-November. Four other deaths in nearby counties - two adults in Ontario County and two children in Wayne and Genesee counties - have been tied to the virus.
Since the outbreak began in April, state health officials say 69 deaths have been linked to swine flu in New York state outside of New York City.
