17/07/2009 - Four more deaths from H1N1 influenza in Ciudad del Este
Three other people died yesterday of influenza A in Ciudad del Este. The cases add to the girl Maria Teresa de Jesus, 7 years, who died at dawn yesterday in the capital, where was derived from this locality. In addition, 10 other people were in serious condition in ICU at the Hospital Regional. The hospital director, Dr. Carlos Pallarolas urged people to extreme measures to prevent, taking into account that there is slowing the spread of massive disease.
Only four people were killed yesterday in this area of the country, all of them were carrying the H1N1 influenza virus.
Two elderly women died last night at the Central Hospital, while a couple of 21 years died, also last night, after being placed in the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital Regional.
Similarly, at dawn yesterday the girl was killed Maria Teresa of Jesus of 7 years, from San Miguel. He was interned in a private hospital in the capital, where he was due.
The first victim of the disease in this area of the country, at least officially, was the young Juan Gim?nez Fernando Gonzalez, aka "Duck", who died on July 7 spent in a private sanatorium in Ciudad del Este. Then joined several other cases, but were not officially confirmed, although it met all the requirements to include the dreaded influenza A.
Just now when the situation is worsening, health authorities admit that there is a massive infection and a total lack.
Strikingly, the deaths registered in this area of the country are not counted by the Ministry of Public Health.
