Durango .- The Deputy Director of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, Ministry of Health, Ana Maria Fajardo Gomez, 32 confirmed positive cases of seasonal influenza virus in the state.
Rose said 103 samples of suspected patients were sent this season to the State Laboratory of Public Health, to rule out influenza A H1N1.
"Obviously we hope that there were cases of seasonal influenza, which is a condition that ordinarily occurs every year in this season," he said.
He emphasized that the patients detected with this virus, typical of the season, enjoy perfect health and there is no risk.
He said this has a reserve of antiviral drugs needed throughout the state of Durango, which allow to make a timely diagnosis and early, to avoid complications of this type in this winter season.
He said that the epidemiological profile is maintained with the expected cases so far compared to previous years and remain the average levels.
Regarding cases of influenza A H1N1, the Health Department shut down last year with six cases, which were identified early last year, while in recent months to close the year had no record of another case.
