Deaths Reported In Sheboygan County, West Allis

Thu Dec 10, 2009 02:33 a.m. | MADISON, Wis.

Three more people have died in Wisconsin from H1N1 flu virus, according to state health officials.

The state Department of Health Services reported Thursday that 43 people have died from the so-called swine flu so far this fall.

The news comes even though the department also says Wisconsin is following the national trend with a decline in overall cases. However, swine flu cases are expected to be seen throughout the flu season and another wave could occur.

Since September there have been 821 hospitalizations due to swine flu in Wisconsin. Two of the three new deaths were reported in Sheboygan County and the third was in West Allis.
