JANESVILLE, Wis. -- A second person has died in Rock County in connection with the ongoing H1N1 flu outbreak, according to local health officials.
The Rock County Health Department said that the resident died this week, according to the Janesville Gazette. Health Officer Karen Cain told the newspaper that they weren't going to release any information about the person at request of the victim's family.
This week's death is the second flu-related death in Rock County this fall. Another death was reported earlier this month.
Earlier this week, officials with the state Department of Health Services said that four more people in Wisconsin had died in connection with the so-called swine flu this fall. There was one in Eau Claire County, two in Milwaukee County and one in Oconto County. That brings the death total to six since Sept. 1 and 15 altogether including those that occurred in the spring.
