Associated Press - October 30, 2009 5:14 PM ET

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Health officials in two Indiana counties are reporting their first deaths from the swine flu.

Officials in Hamilton and Allen counties reported Friday that their counties had both recorded one swine flu death.

Hamilton County Health Department spokesman Tony Benge says a person in his or her 20s died from the H1N1 virus. And Allen County Health Commissioner Dr. Deborah McMahan says a middle-aged woman died in the northeastern Indiana county from the illness.

State health officials said Thursday that as of last week Indiana had recorded 10 swine-flu related deaths.
