Eleven thousand people have been vaccinated against the H1N1 virus in Israel thus far. Meanwhile, four additional swine flu patients have died in hospitals across the country, including a 68-year-old man and a 50-year old woman in the Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva and a 79-year-old man from Natanya. The three suffered from serious pre-existing conditions. In addition, a 40-year-old homeless person died at the Edith Wolfson Medical Center in Holon who was found to have contacted the virus.


The swine flu death toll in Israel currently stands at 60. (Meital Yasur-Beit Or)
