China's mainland H7N9 added 1, cases of human infection cases of bird flu, as retrospective diagnoses of Jiangsu Province, currently patients have recovered and been discharged. As of June 30, 2013, China's mainland reported a total of 132 cases of human infection H7N9 avian flu confirmed cases, including 43 deaths, 85 cases of rehabilitation, distributed in 40 cities in 10 provinces.

The retrospectively confirmed case is likely the same reported earlier by the WHO on its July 4 2013 update (http://www.who.int/csr/don/2013_07_04/en/index.html ).

The patient is a 15-year-old boy reported from Jiangsu who became ill on 25 April 2013 and hospitalized on 26 April 2013. He recovered and was discharged on 2 May 2013. The results of molecular diagnostics were positive for H3N2 seasonal influenza virus and H7N9 avian influenza virus. On 1 July, Jiangsu Provincial Health Department consulted national and provincial experts for diagnosis.

Xinhua Beijing, July 10 (Xinhua) (Reporter Sun Tiexiang) National Health and Family Planning Commission on the 10th Bulletin, June 1 to June 30, the Mainland of China added one case of human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza, Jiangsu Province retrospective diagnoses , now patients have been discharged.

As of June 30, China's mainland reported a total of 132 cases of human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza confirmed cases, which killed 43 people, recovered 85 cases, distributed in 10 provinces and 40 cities.
