1,604 further patients under investigation in England have been confirmed through laboratory testing with swine flu since the Agency's update on Friday June 26 2009.
Together with the 72 laboratory confirmed cases in Scotland reported on Friday (June 26 2009) by the Scottish Government, six laboratory confirmed cases in Northern Ireland announced by the Northern Ireland Executive since Friday June 26 and the five laboratory confirmed cases in Wales announced by the National Public Health Service for Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government since Friday June 26, this brings the total number of laboratory confirmed UK cases identified since April 2009 to 5,937.
